In order to match you properly with your dream pet, we need you to fill out a dog  or a cat adoption form so that we know a little more about you.

After the application is received we will contact you within 2 days to review your application and conduct a short interview.

Adoptions are not done on a first come first serve basis, as the animal has little say in their new owner, it is our responsibility to ensure that they are going home with the best match for their personality. If you are not accepted as an adoptive parent for the animal that you are inquiring about, please don't feel this necessarily means that you are ineligible to adopt, it simply means that we have found a better match for this specific animal.

Once your application has been approved, we will have a volunteer bring the animal to their new prospective home for a meet & greet with the family. This will give your family members an opportunity to ensure that your new potential family member is a good fit with all existing members.

All adoptive owners must be aware of the City of Calgary Animal Bylaws to ensure that they are fully prepared to abide by these laws prior to adoption.

There is a fee associated with adopting a pet from Pet Match 2012. These fees help offset the costs of Spaying/Neutering, Vaccinations, and other care costs associated with the time that the animal has spent in our care.

The adoption fee varies depending on the age of the pet because puppies and kittens require booster shots in addition to their regular vaccinations. The cost of adoption is as follows:

 

Puppy (under 9 months of age): $340.00

Dog (over 9 months of age): $300.00

Kitten (under 9 months of age): $170.00

Cat (over 9 months of age): $120.00

 

All fees must be made by cash, certified cheque or money order and are non-refundable.

 

Fees include vaccinations to ensure your pet is up-to-date at time of adoption and spaying/neutering. All pets are veterinary checked and will not be placed for adoption until they are medically cleared and healthy.
